Whats inner geology of earth? What's going on in the inner side of the Earth. This question always attracts the human mind and especially to the scientists and seismological researchers. The earth's geology tells us how the earth was formed, how minerals and gemstones were formed and brought near to the surface. The main question about the geology of earth has been its inner core. That how does it looks like.

A new scientific approach has indicated about earth inner core by the researchers at The Australian Nationwide College (ANU). They found indirectly by some creative ways to detect a shear wave which is also called " J waves" in the inner core of the earth. This wave can pass through solid objects easily.
"We found the inner core is indeed solid, but we also found that it's softer than previously thought," Associate Professor Tkalčić said.
The Professor Hrvoje and PhD Pupil Than-Son Phan believe now that they have reached to the evidence about earth inner core is solid. This will help us to study the initial phases of the Earth that how the Earth was formed.
Tkalčić and Phạm worked on seismic phases of different types. By which, they finally, got the idea about the shear wave speed inside the earth's core. They found the inner core solid but soft.
They said “It seems — if our effects are right kind — the internal core stocks some identical elastic houses with gold and platinum. The interior core is sort of a time pill, if we realize it we’re going to know the way the planet was once shaped, and the way it evolves.”

Professor Tkalčić said "Using a global network of stations, we take every single receiver pair and every single large earthquake -- that's many combinations -- and we measure the similarity between the seismograms. That's called cross-correlation, or the measure of similarity. From those similarities, we construct a global correlogram -- a sort of fingerprint of the Earth."
Researchers are of the view that findings of the geology of Earth's inner core are very exciting. As we are unaware of earth's inner age, temperature and working going on inside but now this finding will help us to understand it further.
Earlier, scientists were unable to detect those inner waves because they were so tiny and thin. Scientists have already predicted in the 1930s and 40s. about the Earth's inner core that it is solid. However, it was very difficult for them to detect waves and they called this "Holy Grail".
With this discovery, now scientists are able to know more about the Earth's inner core and related activities inside the earth.
